Dutch Apple Pie
Ingredients
- Pastry for one crust pie
- 6-7 tart apples
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
Crumb Topping:
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
Directions
Line a nine inch pie plate with pastry. Cut apples in 1/8 inch slices. Arrange apples in pastry lined pie plate. Mix sugar and cinnamon and pour over apples. Dot with butter or margarine.
To make the crumb topping: Cream butter or margarine and brown sugar together. Cut in flour and cover apples evenly. Bake at 400°F for 50 to 60 minutes.
