- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup butter, margarine, or shortening
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon extract
- 6 cups flour, sifted
Cream together the sour cream, eggs, shortening and sugar with an electric mixer; add vanilla and lemon. Mix in flour to make stiff enough to roll out.
Roll out about 1/8-inch thick and cut with cookie cutters. Decorate cookies with sugar before baking. Bake at 400°F for 8-12 minutes.
