Plan Now for Remodeling Contractors!
With chilly temperatures and possible snow on the ground, it may seem strange to be thinking about remodeling. However, according to many construction organizations, interior remodeling is either planned or started during the winter months. Exterior building and renovations are popular in the summer but many plan these projects in the winter, so now’s a perfect time to consider options for your remodeling contractors. Whether a new room addition, a new deck, or remodeling kitchens or bathrooms, remodeling contractors can get that done. The remodeling class is for contractors specializing in residential or commercial remodeling of existing structures including interior and exterior work. New construction other than room additions are not included in this class.
This class can be called handyperson but there is a difference. While handypersons do mostly smaller jobs, such as fixing a faucet or changing an electrical outlet, the jobs remodeling contractors do are typically larger scale and require higher limits. Bloss & Dillard has options for these risks. Our markets can offer limits up to $2M/$2M as well as the following additional coverages: 1-blanket additional
insureds, 2-blanket waiver of subrogation, 3-per project aggregate endorsement, and 4-professional liability.
These risks can also require coverage in addition to general liability such as inland marine. These coverages can be packaged with the GL coverage for equipment up to the $75k limit per item and up to $200k scheduled TIV. We can also add unscheduled equipment up to a $25k limit.
While the weather is bad outside, the options for remodeling contracts look good from the inside. For your next remodeling contractor, consider the options Bloss & Dillard has for you and your client.
