Happy Fall! It’s my favorite season of all. Pumpkin spice and everything nice such
as outdoor festivals, hot beverages, steaming bowls of soup and scrumptious
treats. The word fall not only brings all these lovely things to mind, it brings Worker’s
Compensation to mind as well. How? Let me tell you. One way is workload. We are all
busy with our workload and trying to help our clients obtain the coverage they need.
When submitting the applications for their General Liability, Property and Auto don’t
let their Worker’s Compensation Coverage fall through the cracks. Let us help you
get that coverage in place for your client. We’ve recently had success in quoting and
binding coverage for a store/ fast food restaurant that prepares and sells gourmet covered
apples. Apples are certainly a fall treat.
Another topic that comes to mind when thinking of the word fall and Worker’s
Compensation is safety. When speaking with your clients ask them what safety
requirements they have in place for their employees to follow to prevent falls. What
type of PPE do they require their employees to wear? Obtaining these details helps
you better understand your client’s risk management needs. If they do not have
safety requirements in place, it will be an opportunity for you to educate them and
help them not fall into an endless pit of claims.
